We conduct quantitative research with a focus on telephone and online surveys. When it comes to qualitative market research, we are specialised on interviews with experts and on leading targeted online forums.

Telephone surveys – Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI)

Telephone surveys are an established method to collect representative data from the population and consumers. We conduct CATI-based studies in cooperation with long-term partners from Germany. We use the sample framework of the Arbeitskreis Deutscher Markt- und Sozialforschungsinstitute e.V. (ADM) for drawing our samples to ensure that all households are included, with or without an entry in the public phone register. This approach includes samples via mobile phones to ensure that mobile-only households are also represented.

Together with our partners, we also realise business surveys via phone.  We conduct the sampling according to appropriate classification schemes.

Online surveys – Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing (CAWI)

Online surveys are ideal for specific audiences. We conduct our online consumer and business surveys with established providers of online market research services and can ensure that the data is hosted exclusively on BSI-certified servers in Germany. We sample our consumer surveys according to the criteria of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Online Forschung e.V. (AGOF).

Expert interviews

Expert interviews are suitable for gaining expertise or information on specific issues. We have access to an excellent network of experts inside and outside the Bitkom Group. Our contacts are not limited to the providers of technology, but also include the end-user industries (such as banking, commerce, mechanical engineering), leading scientific institutions, and the public sector.

Online forums

Online forums represent a method of qualitative market research to discuss topics for a limited period – usually one or more weeks – within a manageable group of participants. Based on this approach, it is possible to examine the issues extensively and gain new insights. Successful implementation relies on the recruitment of the participants and the moderation of the forums. We take care of that for you.
